Developers and manufacturers of pharmaceuticals routinely request us to add their experimental drug compounds to our purified and grain-based diets. We homogeneously blend test compounds and medications into the diet and then, typically, form it into a pellet for ease of administration. (Powder, liquid, and tablet forms are also available). We have comprehensive training programs, procedures, schedules, and records of training. We have detailed standard operating procedures and the appropriate schedules and records to assure that those SOPs are being consistently observed.  Whoever produces your custom diets, whoever adds your test compounds to diets for your pre-clinical trials should be able and willing to allow you complete access to their training manuals schedules, and records, written SOPs, inspection procedures, inspection records, etc., to your complete satisfaction – and to the satisfaction of the FDA.
