Liquid Diet Mixes
Virtually any lab animal diet formula can be translated into a liquid form; and we can produce any previously formulated liquid diet. Liquid diets can be used for a variety of nutritional studies, fetal alcohol syndrome and alcoholism being just two of them.
Liquid diets are ready to use in just minutes. While a blender or other mechanical mixer is recommended, vigorous shaking can mix most diets. Simply measure the appropriate amount of diet powder, and add water, ethanol, and/or other liquid. Then dispense in any standard liquid feeding tube.
Liquid diets can be formulated for any species.
Rodent Diets
The most commonly-used and widely-known rodent liquid diets are those based on the "Lieber-DeCarli" formula. We have four versions from which myriad variations can be made.
Rabbit Diets
Another example of the liquid diets we have made for various species are the formulas we offer for rabbits.

Mixing Ratios
Typically, liquid diet powders are reconstituted at an approximate ratio of 1 part powder to 3-5 parts liquid, depending on the particular formula, to achieve an approximate caloric density of 1000 kcal/liter.
