Modifications to Purified Diets

We can modify the nutritional content of any purified diet, easily and consistently. You may alter one variable in increasing or decreasing concentrations, or you may vary several discrete components in a series of diets. You may substitute, add, or delete specific sources of energy (e.g., fats, carbohydrates, protein), fiber, minerals, and vitamins. These formulas can be “calorie-balanced” or “quantity-balanced.” (For more information see About Diet Formulas.)

Often we can meet your research needs by a direct-add to an existing purified diet formula

(e.g., cholesterol, vitamin, mineral “on top of” a diet); sometimes it is better to modify the entire formula.

When required by your research, we can also add medications and test compounds to any diet, including standard grain-based diets, as well as custom diets, both grain-based and purified. More information..
