Atkins-type Diet for Rodents Diet

The Purina TestDiet^® “Atkins-type Diet for Rodents” is a variant of a “Western” Diet and is part of the TestDiet^® 21^st Century Western Diet Series™.  Purina TestDiet^®  Formula #5TJP is a high-fat diet based on AIN-93G, with approximate energy being derived fat at 56 kcal%, from carbohydrate at 16 kcal%, and protein at 28 kcal%, and a Protein:Fat ratio of ≈1:2.

This formula may be used as is, or it may be used as the starting point for myriad variations to meet specific and unique research needs.
